Chapter 3 – Revelation

Severus
Severus knew that he had to tell Harry soon, because Harry was suspicious. Severus didn’t know how he was going to tell this secret, it was to awkward och horrible to tell. But he had to; he couldn’t keep this a secret anymore. Severus had to ignore Lily’s wish.

A few days before she died, she told Severus not to tell Harry. Severus didn’t agree with Lily on that one, he wanted to tell Harry and it was the most fair, to everyone.
“Harry, I need to tell you something and I don’t know if you’re going to be happy or not. I think that you probably won’t like this thing I have to say. Can we go inside?” Severus was extremely nervous.
Severus heard a little “yes” from Harry and together they went inside the house, into the kitchen. The house was really beautiful and Severus was impressed. He had never seen a house like this, not in the wizardry world. This house was big, light and open. Nothing seemed to be magical in here and it almost looked like a muggle-house.

Harry
Harry was nervous and afraid. What if this wasn’t Severus, maybe it was an imposter? But the voice, it was Severus’s, he was sure of that. Lots of questions flew around in Harry’s head. Why was he here? How long was he planning to stay? What was this secret and why did he shared this secret with Harrys mother? Harry was confused.
Harry made some tea, to calm his nerves. Harry had never been this nervous, not even when he killed Voldemort. When the tea was ready he went to the table and looked Severus in the eyes.
“What is it that you want to tell me? I have to know, right now. I can’t wait anymore because I’m scared. “

Severus
Now, this was the moment, this moment when he had to reveal the secret. This felt worse than a Cruciatus Curse and Severus felt a huge pain inside his soul. It was terrible; he didn’t want to do this, not without Lily. If she was here, this would be much easier. But, Lily wasn’t here and there were nothing Severus could do about it. Tears were falling down his face and he couldn’t stop it, he didn’t want to stop it. Severus cried like a little child and every little piece of him were in pain. He couldn’t look Harry in his eyes and he was so embarrassed. Severus wasn’t the person who cried and this was the second time Harry saw him cry and it was awful.
Severus started talking, but he was still crying and sobbing. Nothing could stop the tears and his voice failed a hundred times.
“I don’t know how to say this Harry but I’ll have to tell you. You know that your mother loved you and you know that your father loved you. They still love you and they will always do. I’m so sorry, but I’ll have to destroy everything you’ve believed in. I’m not the person you think I’m. You have seen my memories, all of them. You know how I felt for Lily and you need to know that it was more. I and Lily had an affair. It’s horrible, I know, but I loved her and she loved me. She loved your father to and I know how she felt. She was so sad and she didn’t know what to do. During this affair, a child was made. This child has a scar in his forehead, he has dark hair just like me and he is the bravest man I ever known. His name is Harry Potter and he’s sitting in front of me right now. I’m sorry Harry, but I want you to know one more thing. I love you and I will always protect you. Always.”
