NO BED FOR ROSES BORDE BLI EN FILM. bc I'm obsessed with Olivia de Havilland & Joan Fontaine. MEN NEJ. Citerar Joan Fontaine: ''Nobody told us we were sisters. Nobody ever said that Olivia was my sister and I should love her. They told me that she was my rival, enemy and big threat and the same did they say about me to Olivia. If you wanted George's (stepfather) love, you must show that you are better, stronger, more capable than the other one. Our mother also pushed us to the extreme with competitions and acting. Olivia wasn't my sister. She was my biggest nemesis and we happened to have the same mother and father'' - Joan.

basically, glee is the worst show ever
''I have a lot of problems with Glee as a show and the hype surrounding it. It has been frequently lampooned by Ryan Murphy and others as a show that promotes “equality” and “loving yourself”, but seems to go out of its way to stereotype its characters, provide little plot development and make race a continual butt of its jokes. Take as an example the character of Tina. She is constantly - and ONLY - defined by the fact she’s Asian. She starts dating Mike at Asian camp. They go on Asian dates. She doesn’t like her Asian eyes. She’s a “self-hating Asian”. They constantly throw their characters into these self-made moulds and make it the ONLY characterisation they get. This is, of course, not including Kurt, whose storyline is the only one that is fleshed out or given proper attention. Its treatment of women is also shocking. Every single teenage girl on this show is obsessed either with boys or popularity. Rachel wants to be a good singer to win Finn back. Quinn wants to be prom queen, Santana wants to be prom queen, Brittany is called by herself and others a slut. In the episode “Blame It On The Alcohol” Finn goes through and names all the different types of “girl drunks” - not people drunks, or male drunks, just girl drunks, because we all know that women can’t handle their alcohol and naturally delinate into the worst versions of themselves after consuming it. This is not even taking into account the fact that they majority of the characters are just awful, awful people. Rachel Berry sends someone into a CRACK HOUSE because she’s jealous of the girl’s talent. Will exacerbates Emma’s mental illness because he wants her to “face up” to it. And, apparently, any character development or plot continuity is just left behind at the end of an episode and we begin the next one with everyone exactly the same as they were before. Aside from the fact that it’s a shitty show, I don’t think these things would bother be as much if people weren’t constantly praising Glee for being “accepting” of everyone, of being a beacon of social respect. It’s so ridiculously selective in what it deems as acceptable (see: treatment of trans people, even by Kurt, who is a member of the LBQT community, in the Rocky Horror episode) that it’s even more offensive than other shows that don’t constantly walk around highlighting these issues as ones their show celebrates. In summary: Glee is not a good show. And I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.'' 15 jun, 2012 19:47 |
